Kenny Chesney Announced as the First 2016 Taste of Country Music Festival Headliner

NASHVILLE, TN – June 16, 2015 – A record 50,000 enthusiastic country music fans turned out over three days to attend the Northeast’s premiere multi-day country music festival, the 3rd Annual Taste of Country Music Festival, held June 12-14, 2015 at Hunter Mountain Resort (Hunter, NY) in the Great Northern Catskills of Greene County.

The star-packed lineup for this year’s festival was headlined by Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, and Toby Keith; and included Billy Currington, Eli Young Band, Jerrod Niemann, Sara Evans, Easton Corbin, Chase Bryant, Colt Ford, Josh Abbott Band, Tracy Lawrence, LOCASH, Logan Mize, Katie Armiger, Western Underground, Amanda Watkins, Rachel Lipsky, Sasha McVeigh, Nikki Briar, Jandee Lee Porter and Jackson Michelson.

On Saturday night, the Festival announced that country music superstar Kenny Chesney will be the first headliner for the 2016 festival.

That was not the only surprise that Taste of Country guests experienced over the course of the Festival. Guests were treated to an impromptu collaboration between Tim McGraw and his friend Tracy Lawrence during Tracy’s performance of one of his biggest hits (and a studio collaboration with Tim), “Find Out Who Your Friends Are.” In addition, a few lucky fans had a zipline adventure with Logan Mize, and many attendees saw Chase Bryant riding the resort’s Skyride.

“We continue to be grateful for the support we’ve gotten from the fans of the Taste of Country Music Festival, as well as the artist community that helped us launch the first country music festival in the Northeast three years ago, and continues to contribute to the growth of the event,” said Dhruv Prasad, one of the festival organizers. “Thanks again to our hosts at Hunter Mountain, all of our great staff, the State of New York, and the folks in Greene County for welcoming us again. We are already looking forward to producing another great experience in 2016, and could not be more excited to bring Kenny Chesney up to the Mountain!”

The 4th Annual Taste of Country Music Festival will be held June 10-12, 2016, the weekend following the 12th annual Mountain Jam Music Festival, scheduled for June 2-5, 2016.
