Brad Paisley’s This Is Country Music Is #1 On Billboard’s Top Country Albums Chart For A Second Straight Week!

Paisley Closes First Night Of LP Field Performances At 2011 CMA Music Festival

Nashville, TN – June 9, 2011 – Brad Paisley’s latest release, This Is Country Music, is #1 this week on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart for a second consecutive week. This Is Country Music made its debut last week at #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, marking the chart’s best first-week sales of 2011. The album also debuted at #2 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart with over 152,000 albums sold according to Nielsen SoundScan.


On Thursday, June 9, Brad Paisley closes the first night of this year’s LP Field stadium performances at CMA Music Festival. This is Paisley’s 13th straight year participating in the Country Music Association’s annual fan celebration in Music City.

This Is Country Music is a 15-track collection, with 12 co-written by Paisley, produced by Frank Rogers. His first studio album since American Saturday Night (July of 2009) includes guest performances by Carrie Underwood (the duet, “Remind Me”), Don Henley (“Love Her Like She’s Leavin’”), Blake Shelton (“Don’t Drink the Water”), Marty Stuart, Sheryl Crow, and Carl Jackson (“Life’s Railway to Heaven”) and Clint Eastwood (the instrumental, “Eastwood”).
