“Platinum Across America” Gives Fans Opportunity to Experience Miranda Lambert’s New Album Platinum
Platinum Park Features Miranda’s Vintage Airstream and Themed Activities Park
NASHVILLE, TN, May 9, 2014 – With less than a month until the release of her new album Platinum, Miranda Lambert is literally crowning her personal Airstream travel trailer for a trip across America that gives fans a chance to listen to the new album. Miranda’s vintage 1954 Flying Cloud Airstream, dubbed “Wanda the Wanderer,” will be topped by a 6-foot-wide, 3-foot-tall aluminum crown, adorned with crystals. The Airstream will make stops in seven cities across the country on the “Platinum Across America” Tour, offering listening sessions for select fans to preview the album. Fans will be selected via sweepstakes through Miranda’s online community and country radio.
In addition to those selected to preview the album in each city, all fans are invited to come and join in the complimentary Platinum Park activities that include a platinum hair station, sun tea stand, corn hole, a leather workshop, vintage postcard photo ops and more. Fans who pre-order the album Platinum on-site or provide proof of their previous Platinum pre-order purchase will also be invited to tour Wanda The Wanderer and listen to the title track while on-site.
“Wanda is my grandma on my mom’s side, although we call her Nonny. She’s a feisty lady full of sass,” said Miranda. “Since she can’t travel with us everywhere, we decided to name our faithful Airstream road companion, ‘Wanda The Wanderer,’ after her. This Airstream has been with us on tours throughout the years and is now embarking on yet another adventure! Platinum Across America!
